- Listen to and discuss stories; answer simple questions about a text.
- Print uppercase and lowercase letters and numerals legibly.
Activity 1: Letter sounds
Say the sound for each letter. Draw or write one word that starts with that sound.
Letter: A ___ B ___ C ___
Activity 2: Rhyming
Think of two words that rhyme with cat. Say them or draw pictures.
Activity 3: Story talk
After a read-aloud: What happened at the beginning? What happened at the end? (Adult can write child’s words.)
Activity 4: Printing practice
Print your name. Print the numbers 1, 2, 3.
